SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER / TECH ARCHITECT

IMPACT BRANDING & DESIGN | WWW.IMPACTBND.COM

In the my last three years demands and duties exploded exponentially in my role at IMPACT Branding & Design. I built a suite of tools that allowed designers and developers to seamlessly merge design and development work ows with the ability to onboard new or outsourced developers while maintaining tight version control standards. I trained junior developers in a plethora of languages and programming styles daily, advising on any technical issues that may arise. Spoke at HubSpot Developer Day 2016 about "Design and Development Optimization and Automation", having the most interactive Q&A of any session. In late 2016 a critical component of our development stack abruptly stopped working, crippling development operations. Portfolio

Interests

Apart from being a web developer, I enjoy standup comedy and thru sheer happenstance I managed to connect with my favorite comic and I now manage his o cial YouTube channel. wrote a grunt script to automate the process of converting podcast pictures and mp3's into mp4 files ready for uploading. The code can be viewed in my BitBucket.

I follow the single board computer scene quite closely and have a number of projects underway. One project I am particularly proud of is creating my own head unit for my car using a Raspberry Pi 3 and Android Auto.

Although I dont play much of either anymore, I still follow poker and pool very closely. Both are extremely fascinating to me and I nd many parallels between them, and many principles from them can be applied to other fascets of life. Game theory concepts are very intriguing and I have spent countless hours listening to talks about it and how it applies to poker. Both poker and pool ultimately boil down to a players ability to make good decisions, and then execute which are the skills I am trying to hone. Winning money isn't so bad either.

I am actively involved in the cryptocurrency world and nd the software side of things fanscinating. Working with the BitCoin API to create a payment system for a small custom ecommerce site was one of the funnest projects I have worked on in recent memory.

I also try to be as active in my local BMX community as possible, as this sport shaped me into the person I am today. In the future I am going to start an after school program that combines action sports and programming to prep kids for the new technology world.
